2004 Arkansas Energy Code for New Construction
The 2004 Arkansas Energy Code for New Building Construction supplements and amends the IECC 2003. Chapter 1 of the IECC has been replaced with a new Chapter 1: Administration and Enforcement which was amended to integrate Arkansas-specific exceptions, exemptions, enforcement, compliance and effective date. Other changes to IECC 2003 are also documented.

ARKANSAS FIRE PREVENTION CODE RULES CHANGES
The Arkansas Fire Prevention Code (“AFPC” or “Fire Code” or “Code”) 2007 Edition, which supersedes the 2002 Edition, has been developed to assist in preventing and controlling fires in and outside of structures in the State of Arkansas. The proper use of this Code can result in saving lives and property through the prevention of fires in our state.

PLUMBING CODE CHANGES
A public hearing was held December 10 regarding the changes to the Plumbing Code.
As a result of that public hearing, some minor wording changes were recommended to help clarify the PEX pipe standards and manufacturers sleeving requirements.
